North Wessex Downs
Images from the North Wessex Downs national landscape, an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) encompassing the rolling chalk downland that stretches across parts of Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Hampshire. As well as the chalk downland, the North Wessex Downs includes historic churches, stately homes and stunning prehistoric relics such as the Uffington White Horse, Wayland's Smithy, iconic Avebury and the ancient Ridgeway - one of the oldest tracks in England - which follows the northern crest of the downs.
