Steve Davison – Outdoor Photography – Outdoor Writer
Steve Davison is an award-winning landscape photographer and outdoor writer based in south Somerset in South West England, with a lifelong passion for the natural world, walking and travel.
Whilst out and about walking and exploring, I've always enjoyed outdoor photography covering a wide range of subjects from scenic landscape photography to more intimate images of nature. The gallery pages contain a selection of my photographs, including landscapes, black & white images, garden and woodland birds, wild plants and fungi. The majority of my photography is from exploring south-west and southern counties of England, but also covers other parts of the UK all the way north to Orkney and Shetland, along with travels in Europe.
I have written and illustrated a range of books - including a number of walking guidebooks published by Cicerone - that allow you to explore the National Parks of Dartmoor, Exmoor and the New Forest; long distance routes such as the Ridgeway National Trail, Kennet and Avon Canal and the Sarsen Way; and the National Landscapes of the North Wessex Downs and the Chilterns. My work - both photography and words - has also appeared in a range of national and regional publications in print and online.
