Career
From
August ’04 with World Visual Communications as Creative
Director I was responsible for the whole World Visual Group, a largely
retail focused operation. My first responsibility was the design of
Etihad Airways new European HQ in Hammersmith.
Joined
Firbank Kempster in March ‘02 with frequent travel to
California working with Agilent and CISCO. Later developing client relations
with Cheil and Samsung Europe I worked as Creative Director on several
event and interior projects.
In
March 2001 I set up on my own working in London or from my
home office. Work has included a concept design of a large exhibition
system for Emirates Airlines, a multi-storey office redesign for KPMG
and a one off exhibition design for Insafe Ltd.
Joining
‘In Real Life’ in May ’96, where focus was
always on the brand and its message, I supervised full time and freelance
designers on projects from touring vehicles to themed meeting rooms.
Using my core skills as a 3D designer we transposed two-dimensional
brands into interiors, offices, exhibitions and conferences in the UK,
Europe and Asia for clients such as Energis, Electrolux, Disney Channel
and Iceland Supermarkets etc.
During
a freelance period starting in 1993 I spent time at Innervisions
Ltd using AutoCAD to design Apple Computer's stand for Live '95. At
Imagination time was spent on the UK Governments Millennium Project
and doing some PhotoShop slide work in for Barry Manalow's Copacobana
West End show.
Starting
in Jan ’85 at Imagination Ltd here I learned how best
to work with many specialists to bring environments to life. Initially
designing Ford exhibitions and events, it was in the capacity of Senior
Designer that I designed most of Bt.’s largest 'face to face'
exhibitions between 1990 and '92.
